Established in 1944, Herr’s Indexing Service provides comprehensive and accurate indexes prepared according to client specifications, and delivered on time.
Completed projects vary in size and complexity, from small books to multivolume works and cumulative indexes for journals encompassing several years of publication.
SPECIALITIES: I specialize in back-of-the book indexes for publications on medicine, nursing, and the allied health fields. I have also indexed books on various other subjects including the social sciences, business, history, education, agriculture, and botany.
MEMBERSHIPS: I am a member of Indexers Unlimited, the American Society of Indexers (ASI), the Science and Medicine Special Interest Group of ASI, and the New England Chapter of ASI.
RATES: The usual fee is 60¢ per index entry. (An index entry is a noun or descriptive phrase followed by one or more page numbers.) I can also provide quotes on per-page rates.
